I don’t understand how Nicki Minaj is not touted as one of the most beautiful women in the world.
I’m impressed with these gifs. I like her as a person, though I’m not big on her music. She has strong feminist values that I relate heavily to, even though I don’t always appreciate her characters. I’d never thought of her as beautiful before though…wow.
A lot people are reacting to this post the same way, and I think it has everything to do with
1.) The fact that we associate beauty with delicate femininity and softness, two qualities that Nicki does not always exhibit.
2.) Ingrained, anti-black racism.
Between the two, she doesn’t have a chance with most people.
But wtf, how is she anything but beautiful?
